Thunderbirds

The system of Puppet animation uses thin wires to control marionettes, and is therefore also known as supermarionation (standing for super marionette animation). For example, "Thunderbirds", a TV series, which ran in the mid-1960s is probably the most famous puppet animation (Wikipedia 2005).
